Julia Rowe is a soloist in the San Francisco Ballet as of 2016. She joined the corps de ballet in 2013 and previously performed in the Oregon Ballet Theatre. She was born in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania and trained in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet School. During the pandemic, Julia Rowe and her husband Jonah Kim began posting videos of out door cello and solo dance performances on YouTube and have developed an international following as a result. Julia began dancing to the music of “Break Free on Wings of Music” while Jonah Kim was arranging a cello solo to the music in their home. She is currently co-choreographing a Pas de deux with Tiit Helimet to the cello and piano arrangement, taking into consideration the ballet story written by Karen Earle Lile.
